Miner King: your first dives, upgrades and the battery race
Every step costs battery and every gem has to come back up. A beginner's plan for Miner King: routes, Turbo, gas pockets and which upgrades to buy first.
Miner King is a digging game with one tension running through every dive: you want to go deeper, and your battery wants you to go home. You steer a glowing drill through layered stone, collect gems, and get back to the surface to sell them before the power runs out. Play it in your browser or on Android.
How a dive works
- Steer with the on-screen D-pad or the keyboard.
- Every step underground uses battery, and harder stone costs more to dig. Moving through tunnels you have already cleared is cheap.
- Fill your bag with gems, return to the shop station, cash out and buy upgrades.
- When a run ends, a summary screen shows what stopped you, and you can play again or return to Mine Camp.
Turbo lets you zip through open shafts for a little extra drain. Turn it on only when the path ahead is already clear — using it against rock wastes it.
Hazards
Deeper belts hide gas pockets. Touching one costs you a slice of maximum power unless you have bought the Gas Shield. Leave them alone until you have it.
The eight upgrades
- Drill Tip — cuts through stone faster
- Drill Body — a tougher chassis for deeper work
- Bag — carries more gems per trip
- Depth — unlocks lower belts
- Battery — stretches each run
- Refinery — better prices for gems
- Cooler — wastes less power while you work
- Gas Shield — resists underground blasts
A plan for the first hour
- Sell often. Early on, upgrades are worth more than a full bag you risk losing.
- Battery and Drill Tip first, before you chase extreme depth.
- Dig a route, then use it. A straight shaft you can cruise back up is cheaper than zig-zagging.
- When the warning flashes, stop digging sideways and head up.
- Check the Gallery in Mine Camp: it holds nineteen gem types, and locked slots show what you have not found yet.
Mine Camp is the hub between dives, with Play, Gallery, Help, Ranks, Sound and your name. Set a display name to post your best runs to the season leaderboard. More on the Miner King page, or warm up the drill.
