Snake Hunting: how to spot every hidden serpent

A calm hidden-object game with sharp eyes required. How a hunt works, how stars are earned, and where serpents like to hide in each biome.

Snake Hunting is a hidden-object puzzle, not a reflex test. Each scene is a small painted world — a meadow, a garden shed, a dusty attic — and somewhere under its bushes, crates, barrels and plates, serpents are curled up waiting to be found. It is calm, family-friendly and runs in your browser or on Android.

How a hunt works

  1. Tap a prop to pull it aside.
  2. If a serpent is underneath, tap it to catch it.
  3. Wrong taps flash red, so look before you tap.

The top bar shows how many serpents are still hidden, your time against par and the hints you have left. Every hidden serpent gives itself away with a small moving tell — a coil, an eye or a tongue that does not quite belong.

Stars, hints and par

Each scene gives you two hints. A hint peels one cover and pulses the serpent under it. To earn all three stars, beat the golden par time, collect every treasure and finish without hints.

Things that change as you go

  • From scene 5, bonus treasures appear: eggs, coins, berries, feathers, mushrooms and shells. They never block progress, but they count toward stars.
  • From scene 11, decoy tongues poke out of the scenery. They look like a tell, but tapping one costs time.
  • Riddle gates open some scenes with a quick question — a snake quiz or an odd-one-out panel.
  • Scene 1 hides three serpents; from scene 24, every scene hides nine.

Twelve biomes, twelve kinds of camouflage

Sixty scenes rotate through twelve biomes, from the Meadow and the Old Attic to the Junkyard, the Library Stacks and the Rocky Trail. The serpents' colours match their surroundings: straw-yellow in the Hay Barn, rust and grey in the Junkyard, stone and lichen on the trail. Knowing the palette tells you what to look for.

Tips from the listing

  • Scan prop edges first — a coil often shows a sliver of scales.
  • Save your hints for busy scenes such as the attic and the pond.
  • If the clock is tight, catch the serpents first and pick up treasures after.
  • Treat every tongue as suspicious until the cover is peeled.

Progress is saved on your device and play continues from the furthest scene you have unlocked; Level Select lets you replay any cleared scene for more stars. See the art on the Snake Hunting page, or start the first hunt.
