Christmas games for the whole family

The holidays are when phones get passed around the sofa. No game here needs an account to play, and progress stays on the device you used.

Good picks for a family evening

• Puzzles that can be paused at any time — handy when dinner is ready.
• Board games for two players on one screen.
• Casual games that a younger cousin can learn in a minute.
