Brick Blitz
Linked glass bricks in a night gallery
Brick Blitz is a link-type brick puzzle played inside a night gallery of obsidian, copper and stained glass. Every piece is a 4×4 arrangement of glass bricks carrying link types 0–14, and linked bricks travel as a single cluster when the 10×20 case resolves gravity. Clear a full row and the links on the rows above and below mutate, so clusters split, fuse and settle into a shape you have to read again. Play the 50-stage campaign across five chapters for crowns, or take the same physics into Endless, a 90-second Time Attack, or an unhurried Zen run. Hold, next preview, rotation and smart placement suggestions are always at hand, the canvas fills any window in portrait or landscape, and the language orb covers eight languages.
A night gallery, a 10×20 display case, and glass bricks that refuse to behave like ordinary blocks. Brick Blitz is a link-type brick puzzle: each falling piece is a 4×4 arrangement of bricks carrying link types 0 to 14, and every link decides which neighbours a brick holds on to. Linked glass moves as one cluster, which is why the pile in front of you is never just a pile.
Gravity is resolved by walking the link graph after each piece settles. A cluster drops only if every brick in it can drop, so a single supported corner can hold a whole span of glass in the air above an open column. Clearing a full row sends the change outward — links on the rows above and below mutate, clusters break apart or join together, and the board reshapes itself while you watch. Clear again during that settle and the combo builds.
Hold, a next preview and rotation are always available, and smart placement suggestions do the reading with you. When suggestions are on, the case highlights landings it judges sound; tapping a different one pages through the compatible placements, and a second tap on the highlighted landing places the piece. Nothing dishonest is offered: a landing appears only when the piece can rotate at the spawn, cross the spawn row and fall straight down without cutting through settled glass. Swipes, an on-screen pad and hardware keys all work.
Four modes use the same physics. Campaign takes you through the gallery. Endless keeps going until the spawn is blocked and raises the level every sixty seconds. Time Attack is a ninety-second scoring sprint. Zen drops the clock entirely so you can practise links.
Campaign is five chapters of ten stages. Objectives rotate between lines, score, longest combo, holding the stack below a safe height, finishing within a piece budget, and surviving a set time, and each stage grades three tiers for up to three crowns. One crown unlocks the next stage, so progress never stalls, while the third crown gives you a reason to return.
Casual, Classic and Expert adjust drop speed, hint strength, objective targets and the score multiplier. The maths underneath stays deterministic: simultaneous clears pay 100, 250, 450, 700 and 1000 points, soft drops and hard locks add small amounts, and combos fade over a few seconds rather than snapping to zero. Everything is timed in delta time, so ProMotion and 60 Hz displays run at identical speed.
Presentation is one continuous room. A splash gate opens the gallery and starts the ambience on your first tap; the home hub is the space itself, with a lit display table, a chapter map on the wall and a trophy case. Mode select, stage detail, tutorial, pause, results, leaderboards, statistics, help, a copper settings plaque and a contact form all share that room and take the copper tint of the chapter you are in.
Music, sound effects, one-touch suggestions and haptics each have a switch. The language orb covers English, Vietnamese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Hindi and French. The canvas fills the entire screen in portrait or landscape, on iPhone and iPad alike. Crowns, unlocks, statistics and settings are kept on your device; the season and all-time leaderboards and the contact form need a network connection.
Features
- Link-type bricks with cluster gravity — not standard Tetris
- Line clears mutate neighbor brick types
- 60-second timer triggers level-up board reset
- Hold, rotate, next preview, and score multiplier
- One-touch AI hints with up to three placement pages
- Eight languages via language orb
Tips
- A cluster only drops if every brick in it can drop, so check what is holding a span before clearing the row beneath it.
- A clear changes the links on the rows above and below — clear again while the board settles to grow the combo.
- Zen has no clock, which makes it the best place to learn how the link types behave.
What's new
1.0.19 regenerates every Brick Blitz store asset from the shipped luxury night-gallery Canvas. Linked glass bricks still resolve by link graph gravity in a 10×20 case. Campaign chapters, Endless, Time Attack, and Zen remain on the Modes / Chapters hub with crowns and season praise when online. Combo clears mutate neighbouring links so stacks keep shifting.
Questions and answers
Is this like Tetris?
Not quite. Pieces are 4×4 sets of linked glass bricks; linked bricks fall as one cluster, and every row you clear changes the links around it.
How do I unlock the next campaign stage?
One crown on a stage unlocks the next. Each stage can award up to three crowns.
What are smart placement suggestions?
When switched on, the case highlights sound landings; tap another to page through options and tap the highlighted one again to place. Only landings the piece can really reach are shown.
