Star Sweep
Clear the formation. Guard the relay.
Star Sweep is a neon formation arcade shooter — clear glitch swarms across 32 relay stages with auto-fire, stage weapon kits, and crystal shields.
Star Sweep is a responsive canvas formation shooter set on a neon relay grid. You pilot a compact relay ship under a violet night sky and clear marching glitch swarms before they overload the network. The game is built for phones, tablets, and desktop browsers: the playfield fills the viewport, controls stay sharp with keyboard or touch, and every stage keeps the classic arcade rhythm of formations, dives, and pickups.
Campaign structure
Thirty-two relay stages unlock as you earn stars. Each stage packs several sub-waves with different enemy layouts. Early tiers teach spacing and sweeping; later tiers stack denser rows, faster march rates, and dive attacks that peel off the formation to strike your ship. Clear every enemy in a wave to advance; finish the stage to bank stars and open the next node on the Stages map.
Combat loop
Your ship auto-fires energy bolts so you can focus on positioning. Move with arrow keys or drag on touch. Glitch drones fly in with a short intro, then settle into formation paths. Watch for dive return paths — enemies that leave the pack and loop back. Timing your lateral sweeps matters more than button mashing: stay under gaps, cut across rows, and avoid clustering under the densest columns.
Weapons and shields
Weapon pickups spawn during a stage and last only for that run. Start each stage with the single-shot kit, then grab spread or rapid kits when they drop. Crystal shield shards block incoming fire for a limited time and break as they absorb hits — use them to survive spike waves instead of treating them as permanent armor. Data ghost bonuses appear as rare targets; catch them for score and flair without derailing your formation clear.
Presentation and world UI
Star Sweep uses a neon world hub, not a bland settings-app menu. Home is the relay deck with hotspots into Stages, Leaderboard, Help, Settings, and Contact. Gallery and help copy explain formations in-world. Sprite atlases power the relay ship, glitch enemies, and shield shards so motion stays readable at small sizes. Backgrounds keep the violet grid atmosphere across splash, play, and results.
Fair challenge
Difficulty rises by formation depth and dive frequency, not by unfair one-shot traps. Practice early stages to learn march timing, then push Extreme-style later relays when you are ready. Local leaderboard tracks strong clears per theme of play so you can compare runs on the same device after you set a nickname in Settings.
Who it is for
Players who like Galaga-style formation shooting, short arcade sessions, and polished neon presentation will feel at home. There is no pay-to-win gate on the thirty-two stage map: progress unlocks with stars you earn in play. Sound and music toggles live in Settings so you can keep focus in quiet spaces.
Privacy and platforms
Scores stay on-device unless you use the platform leaderboard features when enabled. Ads, when present on mobile builds, follow the platform cadence documented for the project — they do not interrupt mid-wave clear.
Start a run from the relay deck, pick an unlocked stage, and sweep the sky until the grid goes quiet. Every wave is a fresh formation puzzle: read the rows, claim the pickup you need, raise a crystal when the dives begin, and finish the relay clean.
