Zoolution is a creature-merging puzzle set in a lush jungle. Swipe pets across a 4×4 board; when two matching species meet, they evolve exactly one tier higher. Climb from a humble egg toward the Evolution King through sixteen tiers, then unlock the next of thirty catalogues and continue the journey.
HOW IT PLAYS
Slide left, right, up, or down (touch swipe or keyboard arrows). Matching pets merge into the next evolution stage. Each merge scores based on the new tier (powers of two), and multi-merge swipes award combo bonuses. New creatures appear after every successful move according to your chosen difficulty. Plan empty lanes carefully — a crowded board with no legal swipe ends the run.
DNA MUTATION
Every merge charges a DNA bar. Fill it once per run to trigger a Mutation: a mid-tier pet bursts onto the board when you need a spark. Use it wisely — after the mutation fires, the bar resets and you finish the run without another shot. Save the burst for a stuck corner or to seed a powerful combo chain.
EVOLUTION CODEX
Open the Codex to review every tier you have discovered for the active catalogue. Ghost silhouettes mark species you have not seen yet. Completing a catalogue’s top tier unlocks the next path, so collection becomes a long-term journey rather than a single high score. Browse catalogues from home and track which lines you have crowned.
A HOME THAT FEELS ALIVE
The redesigned home is a small jungle scene rather than a plain menu. Animated hero pets drift around glowing orbits while fireflies cross the canopy and soft light gathers behind the title. Round Play, Codex, and Sound controls keep the main choices clear. Leaf-shaped difficulty chips let you choose Easy, Normal, Hard, or Chaos before entering the board.
START THE SESSION
A session does not begin automatically. Choose a catalogue and difficulty, then press the explicit Start button to enter the board and begin the jungle music. This deliberate step gives you time to inspect the home, open the Codex, adjust audio, or change language before the first creature appears.
JUNGLE SOUND
Procedural background music builds a calm jungle atmosphere for each session instead of relying on one short repeating cue. Background music and sound effects have independent controls, so you can keep merge feedback while silencing the score, or listen to the music without effects. Both choices are saved locally and restored when you return.
TACTICS WITH PERSONALITY
Keep high tiers near a stable edge, preserve at least one escape lane, and read the next spawn pressure created by your selected mode. A multi-merge swipe can create space and a combo at once, but an eager move may split matching pets across the board. The DNA mutation is strongest when it repairs a blocked pattern or links two planned chains.
RESPONSIVE JUNGLE
Portrait layouts stack the living home, controls, and board for comfortable touch reach. Landscape layouts spread the same information across the wider view so the board stays readable. Phones, tablets, and desktop windows receive a layout shaped for their available space, while swipe and keyboard controls remain consistent.
COLLECTION AND LANGUAGE
Thirty catalogues turn individual runs into a long collection journey. The Codex records discovered tiers and leaves silhouettes for creatures still ahead. English, Vietnamese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Hindi, and French can be selected in the game, making the home, board, modes, and collection readable in eight languages.

What's new
Zoolution 2.0 is a complete rebuild of this merge puzzle for iPhone and iPad. Slide pets across the 4×4 jungle board and merge matching species one tier higher, from a tiny Proto Cell all the way to the Evolution King. Thirty themed catalogues — oceans, dinosaurs, space, myths, robots, pirates and many more — each hold sixteen creatures to discover in the Evolution Codex. Charge the DNA bar to trigger a rescue Mutation, pick Easy, Normal, Hard or Chaos, and relax to procedural jungle music with separate music and sound controls. Every creature name is now translated into eight languages, and every tile shows an icon that matches its name. Try it instantly with the new App Clip, no install required.
